Client is building DevOps/cloud teams that will transform how we build configure and deploy systems, services and software. We are looking for enthusiastic engineers that can automate just about everything and build a pipeline and set of tools that will deliver a competitive advantage. DevOps is the place to come to innovate, automate, virtualize and create new patterns of enterprise delivery.
Work closely with our agile automation team in order to build upon our a brand new automation and configuration management implementation using Chef, integrating our open source monitoring framework in a brand new datacenter with a new private open stack cloud
Deploy business applications by designing, automating and deploying applications from bare metal to running application container on deployed infrastructure.
Involvement in re-platform a mix of enterprise applications and newly developed tomcat-based apps with a mind towards continuous deployment (or at least continuous delivery).
Develop and deploy a toolset for lifecycle management of servers and services.
Work on automating testing of customized tools and of those that we monitor.
Robust experience in Ruby and Ant.
Experience in managing system configurations with tools like Chef or Puppet.
5+ years of Unix/Linux experience.
Proficient with JENKINS or HUDSON or EC .
Experience with open source monitoring tool chains such as Nagios, Cacti, MRTG, SNMP, collectd, rrd.
Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS, Firewalls, load balancers, VMware, KVM, XEN and Open Stack , storage networks, NAS/SAN hardware, Java, Tomcat and Apache.
